Table Cloths for lunch time

The PTA have purchased high quality, durable oil cloths to cover the tables during lunchtime.  This gives a nice 'restaurant' look which matches the quality of the Freshstart food, and helps absorb some of the noise in what is an acoustically challenging space, even when the children use their 'restaurant voices'.
Special thanks to Claire Evans for organising this.

Mud Kitchens

PTA have agreed to purchase mud kitchens for Acorn and Beech outdoor areas.

Outdoor Learning

In addition to Forest School resources, PTA have supported our focus on outdoor learning an all sorts of ways.  Financially, by covering the costs of the Orchard upkeep by 4th Corner, paying for the shelving in our Outdoor Learning Resource Centre (OLRC), purchasing resources for the EYFS sensory corner, and much, much more.  As importantly, by giving time and hard work to make things happen, making floor cushions for the OLRC, making the shelves, developing Beech Class outdoor area, etc.

New Books

PTA have purchased a range of new books for the Key Stage One library and banded book baskets.  They have also purchased books to support our Key Stage Two topic on World War Two

Forest School Equipment

The PTA have made a huge contribution to our success in Forest School by covering the costs of all kinds of tools and equipment:  Books on Sticks and whittling

Numerous field study guides on various Flora and Fauna such as Lichen, bugs, butterflies, bees, land mammals etc, native to our countryside and hedgerows

Pocket Magnifying glasses, binoculars, bug pot viewers, pond nets and sampling trays
Fire equipment – Fire steels, fire gauntlets, Kelly kettles and camp kettle

Numerous tarpaulins of different sizes used for den buildings and floor covering.

Tools – penknives, bow saws, billhooks, loppers, bib and brace drill, drill bits, gimlets, tool bags, lockable box for pen knives, safety gloves for both adults and children.

Jackets for Sports Trips

Many thanks to our PTA for supplying jackets with the new school logo for our Sports Squads when they are representing their school at tournaments and fixtures.
