A busy village school at the heart of a thriving rural community on the edge of the Cotswolds, we welcome children and their families from the villages of Sibford Gower, Burdrop, Sibford Ferris, Epwell, Swalcliffe, Tadmarton and further afield.

There has been a school on our site since 1623.  As well as taking full advantage of the opportunities offered by the rich local history,  we are an outward looking school focused on developing our children as learners who are well equipped to thrive in our 21st century society.

Determined to maximise the potential of our stunning grounds, we have a strong focus on outdoor learning with three members of staff trained as Forest School leaders, through the Orchard Project, the development of outdoor learning spaces connected with each of our classrooms and the development of our big field as a sports venue.

Children learn best when they feel safe and secure, and have a rich  variety of learning experiences to stimulate and engage them.  We offer a broad, balanced and creative curriculum, with a wide range of enrichment opportunities to both appeal to, and develop, a range of interests, knowledge and skills.

Our parents say:

“Thank you to all the teachers and teaching assistants for the support you give all our children.  They skip to school and feel happy and safe, which has also shown in their progress.  Wouldn't want them anywhere else".

"Since coming to Sibford Gower, my children have progressed significantly due to the teachers and staff's care and attention.  Thank you"

"My children feel happy and settled in this lovely school.  What a great environment for learning!  Thanks to all teachers and staff for making it such a lovely school."

“It is refreshing to have teachers and senior staff that genuinely take an interest in the children in school … and really go the extra mile in all activities.”

“ I would happily recommend this school.”

"Lovely, welcoming, caring, supportive."
Our pupils say:

"The school is massive and very old. The Orchard is beautiful.  We are all friends in our school.  It is the best school in the world. We have brilliant teachers and amazing teaching assistants.

"We are lucky having an Orchard because other people in the world don't have one. There are kind people in this school.  If you come to our school you will make wonderful friends; they are nice and kind. Teachers help us. We have big fields we can play on and have fun on them. We have got a beautiful view in the Orchard. The headteacher seems like she is very kind. We’ve got well behaved children. This school is the best school in the world !"

"I love the teachers because they are kind and helpful.  I like everything about school and I especially enjoy doing the times tables challenge because it helps my times tables stick in mt head"

"I like school because I like learning about new things interesting stuff. I like Forest School because I like being around Nature."
