School performance information:-
In the 2017 statutory mathematics tests (SATs) we experienced an unexpected dip in results which was in stark contrast with our teacher assessment of pupil attainment. This has had a significant impact on our position within the national Performance Tables.
The possible reasons for weak pupil performance in the tests have been investigated thoroughly within school and within the WMAT. The outcome of this investigation supports the school’s view that the maths test data shows an anomaly which does not accurately reflect the ability and attainment of this cohort of children, and that it does not indicate any whole school or key stage wide issues.
Our published data also includes a child with Special Educational Needs who was not able to access the tests. We have requested that the data is amended in the light of this and will update the information depending on the outcome of this request. We are publishing two sets of data to reflect this.
