Children take everything in. They love it when you chat, play and read with them, even when they’re too young to understand everything. You can turn almost anything into a game. And every little thing you do together will help set them up nicely for the day they start school. Please click on the button to access the Tiny Happy People Site. This has been launched by the BBC and endorsed by the Duchess of Cambridge. It offers information and ideas for parents of children aged 0 to 4 years.

RECEPTION GRADUATION: The Class of 2023
It was a real pleasure to invite parents in to school join us for the graduation ceremony of our lovely Reception children. This marks the end of their time in Early Years and their readiness to move onto year one where they begin learning within the National Curriculum.
Very well done all of you. We are so very proud of all that you have achieved!
Very well done all of you. We are so very proud of all that you have achieved!
Spring has arrived and we welcomed a very special visitor into Acorn Class. Elis and Eleri's mum brought in a lamb for us to meet. We were able to share all things we already knew about lambs and learn some new things too! Some of the children felt confident to touch the lamb and feel its fleece, some were less sure, but it was a very exciting event for everyone!
We have had a morning of painting. First we painted 'anything we wanted to', exploring how the paint worked and how to use the brushes. Then we painted our favourite dinosaurs. We think they look amazing!
We have been outside exploring our environment, using the Muddy feet resources. We have walked with bare feet, talked about our shadows, and then lay down and gazed at the sky and the clouds. We all felt very relaxed at the end of the session.
Armistice Day
The children in Acorn Class learned about 'Poppy Day' and why we have a two minute silence. They used collage to make some beautiful pictures of poppies.
