The Reading Page
Reading is really important! We read to find out about things, we read to help us learn, we read because it is fun!
Reading can take us to places we couldn't imagine.
This page is to share all sorts of reading ideas, activities and information, including links to other people reading brilliant stories!

Reading Week in School
During the week after World Book Day, we invited parents and grandparents into the classroom each morning to share books with their children. This way of sharing the joy of reading is very simple, but really exciting and memorable for the children.
All of the grown-ups in school LOVE to read books!
I wonder what their favourite books were as children?
Some stories read by the teachers
If you are reading something brilliant and think your friends might like to read it too, please send details of your recommendation to your class email page and we will post it here.

We absolutely love reading at Sibford Gower Primary School, whether we are listening to stories read by grown-ups, reading to ourselves or reading with our friends. We especially like it when we have the opportunity for a 'relaxed read' with the older and younger children spending time together.
