Purple Mash - Our online learning portal
The learning activities for your child detailed in the daily plan are also shared in Purple Mash which is our online learning platform.
Your child should log in to Purple Mash each morning to access their learning.
This will enable you/them to share their work with their teacher and enable teachers to give personalised feedback.
It also allows us to track what work your child is doing and better support them in their learning.

Home learning - Wednesday 19.1.22
Today is Forest school. To start with we will be remembering last week when we looked at the habitats of the animals which live on our big field.
- We will watch the Woodland animal power point before we go outside.
- When we get outside we will make feeders for the birds (recipe below).
- In phonics we will be learning the digraph 'oi' as in 'oil', 'boil' etc (see PowerPoint below)
- In phonics we will also be learning 'tricky words' which can only be remember and not decoded. We will play a bingo game to help us remember them.
- In maths we will be learning about ordering numbers to 10 - see Oak academy link for this.

Home learning - Thursday 20.1.22
Today in Acorn class we are continuing to learn about numbers to 10. The focus is on ordinal numbers. Please see the link for this which will take you to the Oak Academy platform.

We will be practising our 'tricky words' again today. Maybe you could play a matching game to help you read and recognise these (see the link yesterday 19.1.22 for the words).

I have attached a PowerPoint for reading 'ue' words and we will be practising how to write 'ue'.

Today in Acorn is also Write Dance and Pen Disco day! Today we are listening to a story about a sunny day, dancing to a song about the sun and our pens will be dancing in circles, in and out lines and dots. Click the links below to watch the video and access the information sheet.
Home learning - Tuesday 25.1.22
Today in Acorn is PE day. We will be playing the 'Bean' game which involves moving in different ways. Teach an adult this game as show them the moves! We will using ball skills - passing by throwing and catching and also learning t dribble a ball. Try and dribble a ball from one place to another and do some throwing a catching if you have a willing partner!
