Writing

Writing skills and concepts are taught systematically throughout the school, in line with the requirements of the English curriculum.

Our approach ensures that our children get regular opportunities to produce extended pieces of writing, developing their enjoyment of writing, their writing stamina, and consolidating their understanding of a variety of writing genre.

Across the school, children are encouraged to talk to develop their ideas for writing, including ‘talk homework’.
